How to install these recessed D-rings in enclosed trailer?
When we first purchase an enclosed trailer, they came with four of these flush mount hooks and it simply was not enough, so we would like to add some more. So we are going to put at least two more of these in installation. And we will have a few more to put in the future as the need arises.
So this comes with everything is needed. We have got some carriage bolts, locked washers as well as nylock nuts, and then obviously we have got the flush mount and the back spacer, this will just helps give added security to it, so these bolts don't pull through.
The square holes allows you to insert the carriage bolt and then that carriage bolt will lock in place and then it can be tightened down from underneath the trailer. A big reason for this modification is for this, is your turn more where we have in here. You have some to life doors that work really well.
The most part but under heavy braking applications, this will move around, so our plan is to put one hook up front here and one on the rear, so when we are out moving we can quickly get in the trailer throw a strap on front and back and cinch this down real quick and then go to the next job.
one of the thing I had on the floor was the e-track system with the tie-downs for the tyres and that simply just did not work out. On the e-tracks was very slippery on tires and the tires tended to slide left or right and it would loose up the tie-downs, so they not work very well. They were also very cumbersome as well, so plus and learned obviously those that are in busy the snow that you travel air and that's one thing that we have learned and that is why we are continually trying to improve this process find something that is quick and easy to tie it down but also dose not get in the way of productivity.
We need a three and a half inch hole saw in order to cut out a hole for this recessed portation. The reason we are drilling this from beneath is that just helps me get centered and it allows me to push it as far to touching that support beam as possible. How could I do you think that support beam does help give us a head of strength supported reason, this is a problem is because they have lock, nylock, nuts decided to trailer nuts, if they were getting nuts it would not be putting a small pressure on there, you see here we have got regular nuts with lock washer on it.
